In meinen Sketchbooks werden Sie zahlreiche Reiseskizzen aus Italien, Kroatien, Griechenland, Frankreich oder Holland, aber auch Impressionen aus diversen deutschen Städten und Regionen entdecken. Zumeist sind es schnelle Landschaft- , Detail- und Architekturskizzen, die vor Ort mit den unterschiedlichsten Materialien gezeichnet und coloriert wurden.
Ein Sketchbook, bzw. ein Skizzenbuch, ist für einen leidenschaftliche Zeichner wie mich, auf Reisen und im Urlaub ein ideales Werkzeug um Motive, Eindrücke, Ideen und Inspirationen schnell und kompakt zu visualisieren.
Ein Sketchbook ist aber auch eine hervorragende Einrichtung um einmal/nochmal genauer hinzuschauen, anstatt einfach mal schnell zu fotografieren. Was so im Laufe der Zeit auf Reisen und an Ideen alles visualisiert wurde, bleibt so in jedem Fall länger im Gedächtnis haften als jedes Handyfoto. Skizzenbücher werden auch danach viel häufiger als ein Fotoalbum in die Hand genommen – denn sie sind viel persönlicher und spannender als jedes noch so „schön gemachte Fotobuch“. Dass sie sich auch als hervorragende Quelle und Nachschlagewerke für das künstlerische Arbeiten zu Hause anbieten ist selbstverständlich.
Skizzenbücher sind nicht nur in den verschiedensten Formaten und Papierqualitäten erhältlich, sondern auch mit nahezu allen Mal-, Zeichen- und Schreibmaterialien zu nutzen. Mein persönliches Reportoire reicht dabei von Fineliner, Tusche und Graphit über Kohle bis hin zu Kreiden, aber auch Aquarell und Gouache werden verwendet. Für meine Arbeit haben sich einfache Standard-Skizzenbücher (Format ca. 20 x 14 cm) bewährt. Über eine Doppelseite bekomme ich so ein ansprechendes Panoramaformat (Verhältnis ca. 1:3) um dadurch die unterschiedlichsten Motive sowohl detailliert als auch ganz großzügig zeichnen zu können.
In my sketchbooks you will discover numerous travel sketches from Italy, Croatia, Greece, France or Holland, but also impressions from various German cities and regions. Mostly they are quick landscape, detail and architectural sketches, which were drawn and colored on the spot with a variety of materials.
A sketchbook, or a sketchbook, is for a passionate draftsman like me, when traveling and on vacation an ideal tool to visualize motifs, impressions, ideas and inspirations quickly and compactly.
But a sketchbook is also an excellent device to look once / again more closely, instead of just quickly photograph. What was visualized so in the course of time on trips and ideas everything, remains so in any case longer in the memory than any cell phone photo. Sketchbooks are also picked up much more often afterwards than a photo album – because they are much more personal and exciting than any „beautifully made photo book“. That they also make excellent resources and reference books for artistic work at home is a given.
Sketchbooks are not only available in a wide variety of formats and paper qualities, but can also be used with almost all painting, drawing and writing materials. My personal repertoire ranges from fineliner, ink and graphite to charcoal and crayons, but watercolor and gouache are also used. For my work, simple standard sketchbooks (format approx. 20 x 14 cm) have proven themselves. Over a double page I get so an appealing panoramic format (ratio of about 1:3) to be able to draw the most diverse motifs both detailed and quite generous.
