Die Landschaft steht im Mittelpunkt meiner Malerei.
Unterschiedlichste Landschaften zu sehen, ihre Stimmungen zu fühlen und deren Charakter zu erkennen, das macht für mich den besonderen Reiz in der Landschaftsmalerei aus. Einen typischen Ausschnitt der Natur „plein air“ zu erfassen um ihn dann zeichnerisch in Punkt und Linie, aber auch in malerischer Farbakkordik (parallel zur Natur) zu interpretieren, ist für mich eine spannende künstlerische Tätigkeit.
Stets geht es in meinen Mal- und Zeichenprozessen um Erfassen, strukturieren und loslassen, sowie um die Akzeptanz dessen was gerade passiert. Je schneller die Gestik, je geringer die Kontrolle, um so mehr zufälliges kommt zum Vorschein und fixiert sich nach und nach im Bild. Diesen Prozess erlebe ich als neugieriges Beobachten und Experimentieren und ist mir im Laufe der Jahre immer wichtiger geworden. Zugleich malen und zeichnen – um mich dadurch intensiver auszudrücken – das ist meine Intention!
The landscape is at the center of my painting.
Seeing a wide variety of landscapes, feeling their moods and recognising their character is what makes landscape painting so appealing to me. Capturing a typical section of nature ‘plein air’ and then interpreting it graphically in point and line, but also in painterly colour chords (parallel to nature) is an exciting artistic activity for me.
My painting and drawing processes are always about capturing, structuring and letting go, as well as accepting what is happening. The faster the gestures, the less control I have, the more random things come to light and gradually become fixed in the picture. I experience this process as curious observation and experimentation and it has become increasingly important to me over the years. Painting and drawing at the same time – in order to express myself more intensively – that is my intention!
Le paysage est au cœur de ma peinture.
Voir des paysages très différents, ressentir leurs ambiances et reconnaître leur caractère, c’est ce qui fait pour moi l’attrait particulier de la peinture de paysage. Saisir un extrait typique de la nature « en plein air » pour l’interpréter ensuite par le dessin, en point et en ligne, mais aussi par l’accord pictural des couleurs (parallèlement à la nature) est pour moi une activité artistique passionnante.
Dans mes processus de peinture et de dessin, il s’agit toujours de saisir, de structurer et de lâcher prise, ainsi que d’accepter ce qui se passe à ce moment-là. Plus le geste est rapide, plus le contrôle est faible, plus le hasard apparaît et se fixe peu à peu dans le tableau. Je vis ce processus comme une observation et une expérimentation curieuses, et il est devenu de plus en plus important pour moi au fil des années. Peindre et dessiner en même temps – pour m’exprimer plus intensément – telle est mon intention !
